Join us on Friday Night, Wednesday Night, and intermittent other nights for some of the country’s best emerging talent and established artists. We have a music (and some spoken word) Open Stage every Friday which includes a half hour set by a Featured Performer in the middle of the evening. We also have a Comedy Night, with a similar Open Stage concept every Wednesday evening.
If you are interested in the Friday Night series, as an Open Stage participant, just show up and put your name in the hat between 8 and 8:30 pm on any Friday. The names will be drawn from the hat to determine the order of performance. Featured Performers are generally booked from among the participants in the Open Stage. Open Stage participants get one or two songs (or spoken word performances) over the course of the evening, depending on how many people sign up to perform. If you want any further information about the Friday Night event, contact Marc at marcnerenberg(@)hotmail.com.
Keep an eye out for those events in the sidebar on the left! Subscribe to our email newsletter on the 'Join' page to keep up. Take a look below, and subscribe to our YouTube channel, to see some of the talent that has already sat in our spotlights!
Now in its 50th year, the Yellow Door Coffeehouse has long been one of Montreal’s favourite acoustic music venues. The coffeehouse is an alcohol-free alternative to the bar scene. All ages are welcome.
