An Evening of Poetry, Prose & Music
Gary Geddes reads from his new book of poems, Swimming Ginger. The former Concordia professor recently received the Lt-Governor's Award for Literary Excellence in BC.
Ann Eriksson will read from her third novel, Falling from Grace, praised by Nino Ricci. Author of Decomposing Maggie and In the Hands of Anubis.
John Asfour Translator, author of 4 volumes of poetry in English & two in Arabic. Winner of the F.G. Bressani Literary Prize & the Joseph Staford award. Asa Boxer Author of a first book, The Mechanical Bird, (Vehicule Press, 2007). First prize, CBC competition; published in Arc, Maisonneuve & CNQ.
Susan Elmslie Her poetry collection, I, Nadja, and Other Poems won the A.M. Klein Award and was shortlisted for three other prizes.
Ralph Alfonso Montreal beat poet best known for his books, zines, & music. A documentary on his work has aired on Bravo! and CBC-TV.
