GENERATIONS PROGRAM

**We are always accepting NEW SENIOR MEMBERS - please call to find out more.**

Services currently offered to seniors (55+) in our area:
  • Accompaniments: we will travel with a senior to medical appointments & *VACCINE CENTERS*
    • transportation costs can be covered if needed
  • Friendly Errands: we will pick & deliver your groceries/pharmacy items, etc
  • Friendly Calls: a weekly chat lasting 20 mins to 1 hour
  • Check-in Calls: weekly call to see if everything is OK & if anything is needed (groceries, information, referrals)
  • Tech Help: weekly/as needed help with technology over the phone

Our Program Coordinator is continuing to match volunteers with seniors whenever possible, so that the person calling or delivery groceries each week is the same- a familiar voice and/or friendly smile, even at an appropriate social distance, is comforting during this uncertain time. These interpersonal connections continue to make our services special and unique.

Seniors in need of services, or someone on their behalf, can reach Rocio at outreach@yellowdoor.org or 514-845-2600 x2. Please leave a clear message with your name and phone number and we will call you back.

We acknowledge that The Yellow Door is situated on unceded Indigenous land, as it was taken without treaty or agreement. We recognize the Kanien’keha:ka Nation as the custodians of Tiohtia:ke (Montreal), a traditional meeting place with other Iroquoians and Algonquians, including the Algonquin-Anishinaabe, Atikamekw and the Huron-Wendat. We stand in solidarity and in action in supporting the journey towards reconciliation.
