2021 Annual Benefit Dinner

The holidays can be a lonely time for many, especially for isolated members of our community who live alone and may not have friends/family close by. With your help this holiday season, the Yellow Door will help bring holiday joy to our senior members via a live holiday concert and special meal delivered by friendly volunteers.
Help us spread holiday joy & warm wishes to seniors in your community by donating to the 2021 Benefit Dinner today!

07 December - Holiday concert

Musician Michael Gorlin & his full band will perform a concert of holiday jazz classics at the beautiful Theatre Art Neuf! We have arranged for a private bus to pick-up seniors, ensuring that transportation to and from the venue is stress free.

09 DECEMBER - meal delivery

This year's menu will include: a classic Italian dinner including warm minestrone soup with a side of fresh bread & a choice of hearty meat or vegetarian lasagna, all homemade by local caterer, Berardi's, plus a trio of delightful holiday cookies by bakery De sucre et de Miel. This year we will also include a special gift with each meal.
“When I learned that the Yellow Door was throwing a holiday benefit dinner for seniors, I was eager to donate. Taking care of my grandmother in her final years left me with a soft spot for seniors in need. Being able to contribute to an event like this is a simple way to spread joy and leave you and others with a heartwarming feeling.” - A.

Before December 1st, we invite you to use the safe & secure form below to purchase a meal for a senior or make a donation with your credit card via SimplyK. As always, your donation will also help to support our 2022 programming.  Charitable tax receipts will be issued for all donations.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR WORK IN THE COMMUNITY.
If you wish to pay by cheque (made out to the Yellow Door), please mail it to the address below. We are a registered charity (CRA# 715 310 520) and any donations $20 or more will receive a charitable tax receipt before the end of the current tax season (please include your full name & mailing address).

We acknowledge that The Yellow Door is situated on unceded Indigenous land, as it was taken without treaty or agreement. We recognize the Kanien’keha:ka Nation as the custodians of Tiohtia:ke (Montreal), a traditional meeting place with other Iroquoians and Algonquians, including the Algonquin-Anishinaabe, Atikamekw and the Huron-Wendat. We stand in solidarity and in action in supporting the journey towards reconciliation.
