Thank you to everyone who helped make our 2020 benefit dinner a success!

On the 10th of December our team of staff, interns, and volunteers worked together to deliver special meals to 85 seniors isolating at home and ran a virtual holiday concert so that we were able to dine together that evening. Thanks to the generosity and compassion of individual donors and community partners we were able to raise ... [drum roll please] ... almost $9,500 in support of this event!! These funds not only ensured that the dinner would be a success, but also greatly help in planning for our 2021 services and programs, keeping them free and accessible to all.

Thank you to all the volunteers who assisted in the planning, coordination and execution of the 2020 Dinner, including: Susan, Raquel, Noor, Jana, Naila, Luigi, Tanya, Nour, Murad, Archita, Ashok, Julian, Venisia, Rose, Maria, Guillaume, Jami, Wah Keung, Eva, & Peter.

Thank you to all our community partners for their financial support of this event, including: Jennifer Maccarone, MNA Westmount-Saint-Louis; Midnight Kitchen; QPIRG Concordia; QPIRG McGill; SACOMSS; Sumac & Sugar; and the Gustav Levinschi Foundation.

GENERATIONS
Established in 1972, our outreach program aims to prevent premature institutionalization by fostering intergenerational relationships. We work toward this by matching youth volunteers
with seniors living in our community.

Wellness groups

Our intergenerational wellness group programs engage all ages in a variety of fun and stimulating workshops and group activities designed to encourage mental and physical well-being while preventing social isolation.

RABBIT HOLE cafe

Our friendly vegan cafe serves up a healthy and delicious lunch to the community. The food is always affordable and the service is run by a group of dedicated volunteers.

We acknowledge that The Yellow Door is situated on unceded Indigenous land, as it was taken without treaty or agreement. We recognize the Kanien’keha:ka Nation as the custodians of Tiohtia:ke (Montreal), a traditional meeting place with other Iroquoians and Algonquians, including the Algonquin-Anishinaabe, Atikamekw and the Huron-Wendat. We stand in solidarity and in action in supporting the journey towards reconciliation.
