RABBIT HOLE PROGRAM

For over 60 years the YD has offered space for volunteers to engage and community members to connect over food.

RABBIT HOLE LUNCH

On Fridays during the academic year, volunteers serve up a delicious and healthy vegan lunch at an affordable price. We encourage our patrons to bring their own reusable container, in the interest of sustainability, and to enjoy their meal in our cozy basement space, in the interest of building community. The kitchen is open to all members of the community - bring your friends! Please note however, that our location is not accessible to all (there are 5 stairs at the entrance).  * CASH ONLY. Follow us on social media to see the menu for the upcoming week: @theyellowdoororg

DUROCHER MARKET

Once per month YD staff and volunteers help Innovation Assistance run a Farmers Market for seniors living in and around HLM Durocher. The market offers fresh produce, prepared meals, and non-perishables at a reduced cost and allows seniors autonomy over food choices. For around $5 patrons can leave with a full bag of groceries. * CASH ONLY. See our CALENDAR for date/time & location.

We acknowledge that The Yellow Door is situated on unceded Indigenous land, as it was taken without treaty or agreement. We recognize the Kanien’keha:ka Nation as the custodians of Tiohtia:ke (Montreal), a traditional meeting place with other Iroquoians and Algonquians, including the Algonquin-Anishinaabe, Atikamekw and the Huron-Wendat. We stand in solidarity and in action in supporting the journey towards reconciliation.
