CULTURAL ROULANT

Each month, the YD brings cultural items such as books, DVDs, art kits, games, music, interactive activities and more to the community rooms of the city's seniors' residences. Volunteers and community organizations are on hand to socialize with residents and inform seniors about the various volunteer services available to them in the city.

Responsibilities

• Help transport and deliver materials (books, DVDs, games, etc.) to common rooms in HLMs and residences
  
• Greet participants at the door with a friendly "Hello!" and brief conversation
  
• Keep an inventory of the equipment borrowed by participants and communicate it to the coordinator
  
• Participate in any board game sessions with participants, depending on your availability

Commitment:

• We expect volunteers to be available between 2 and 6 hours per month.
  
• Deliveries will take place once every 3 weeks or once a month
  
• Please allow 1 to 3 hours per visit
  
• We will keep a calendar with dates in advance. Participants will be informed of your visit in advance
  
  

Requirements:

• Enjoys talking with others
  
• ​Can speak French or English or both
