INTERGENERATIONAL WELLNESS GROUP
KNITTING CIRCLE
PicturePhoto credit: K. Slomski
The YD knitting circle welcomes all ages and abilities for a casual afternoon of knitting, sharing, learning, and socializing. Bring your own supplies/tools and work on your personal knitting projects. New to the practice of knitting? Need a little help with a current project? We are here to help! Many of the participants have years of experience and expertise that they are happy to share with new knitters.

Participants are also welcome to use our yarn- which has been kindly donated by individuals and the shop, Espace Tricot- to work together on ongoing group knitting projects. Past group projects have included quilting, doll creation, and crafting items to be donated to worthy causes.

No prior experience is required, new members or drop-in participants are always welcome. If you are interested in learning to knit, helping with our various monthly projects, or just want to knit along side others- please stop by!

See the CALENDAR for more details. Contact activities@yellowdoor.org with questions or ideas for a knitting workshop or group project.

All are welcome!

We acknowledge that The Yellow Door is situated on unceded Indigenous land, as it was taken without treaty or agreement. We recognize the Kanien’keha:ka Nation as the custodians of Tiohtia:ke (Montreal), a traditional meeting place with other Iroquoians and Algonquians, including the Algonquin-Anishinaabe, Atikamekw and the Huron-Wendat. We stand in solidarity and in action in supporting the journey towards reconciliation.
