WALKING GROUP

Check our wellness groups calendar for updated information about the time and location.
Every Friday, enjoy a walk on Mount Royal led by Jean François, a certified personal trainer with two years of Nordic pole walking experience.

Nordic pole walking is an aerobic walking exercise with the use of poles that engages 80% of your muscles. This workout is low impact by nature, fun to do, and keeps you outdoors making it an ideal form of exercise for anyone!
You can bring your own poles or borrow poles from the Yellow Door. However, we have limited sets of poles so if you want to borrow from us, arrive early!

Please wear weather appropriate clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and bring any water and/or snacks you may require.

Join us on Fridays at 1:00-2:00PM. The meeting spot is the outside of the Yellow Door office, 3625 Rue Aylmer. The walking session will take place on Mount Royal. Please arrive on time as the group will begin at 1PM sharp!

We acknowledge that The Yellow Door is situated on unceded Indigenous land, as it was taken without treaty or agreement. We recognize the Kanien’keha:ka Nation as the custodians of Tiohtia:ke (Montreal), a traditional meeting place with other Iroquoians and Algonquians, including the Algonquin-Anishinaabe, Atikamekw and the Huron-Wendat. We stand in solidarity and in action in supporting the journey towards reconciliation.
